It’s A Family Affair!
For all those who have followed the story, we now have a happy update and the two adorable kittens are now safely in their forever home.
For our followers who have only just come across this we will start from the beginning.
These two adorable kittens are brother and sister, found in Ayamonte, Spain by our very own Anne Brummer’s son Sam and a couple of friends. They were in a storm drain, soaking wet, extremely cold and virtually lifeless. Sam, just like his mum and no surprise to us, was sending images, videos and calls on how can they save them with only 2 days left before flying home to the UK.
Here steps in Cristina. We posted on our Save Me Trust social media asking if anyone can help look after them until we could safely re-home them. The lovely Cristina stepped up and we managed to get them safely to Cadiz where they were lovingly cared for not only by Cristina but her two family dogs who became their friends and made sure they were always clean! Cristina gave us daily updates and their confidence grew.
After a couple of weeks when they had their first jabs they were ready to travel to a new forever home.
Here steps in Jenny and Barry who are Aunt and Uncle to Anne Brummer’s PA, Jo. She shared the link on her own Facebook and immediately Jenny contacted Jo to say they have just that week moved to Spain and they would love to adopt the kittens to join them both and their 3 dogs to become part of their family.
The following week, Cristina travelled a 12 hour round trip from Cadiz to Sax to safely drop the kittens off to Jenny and Barry so they would not be stressed and would be well looked after from beginning of the journey to the end.
The update so far as at 7th May 2022 and just 10 short weeks later…
Jenny sends regular updates about her ‘babies’ which they have called Sooty & Sweep. They settled in well with the dogs and are all living a contented life as all of them, including the kittens settle in to their new home together.
So as you can see, it was a real family affair, and Cristina has now become part of it too!
